Where Does Grief Sit in the Body
We often think of grief as something that lives in our minds, in the thoughts that circle, the memories that arrive without warning, the things we wish we could say.
But grief lives in the body, too.
It can feel like a tightness in your throat. A heaviness in your chest. A knot in your stomach. A tiredness that sleep doesn’t seem to touch.
If you’ve felt this, there is nothing wrong with you.
Grief doesn’t always have words. Sometimes, our bodies carry what our hearts and minds haven’t yet been able to express.
So instead of pushing those feelings away, we can gently notice them.
Where do you feel the grief today?
What does it feel like?
And if you simply stayed with that feeling for a moment, what might it be trying to tell you?
You don’t need to fix it. You don’t need to understand it. Sometimes, simply giving yourself permission to feel is enough.
And sometimes, when someone we love is grieving, we don’t know what to say either.
That’s where connection matters.
At leolam, we believe showing up doesn’t always require the right words. Sometimes it’s a quiet gesture that says, I’m here. I’m thinking of you. You don’t have to carry this alone.
Our gifts were created for those moments, for when someone you care about is moving through loss, and you want to offer something meaningful when words aren’t enough.
Because grief can feel incredibly lonely.
And sometimes, the simplest act of showing up can remind someone that they don’t have to go through it alone.
